Notes from James                                                              Back to James Griffin Archives Home Page

Through the years, Jimmy would sometimes send me something with a sticky-note attached, in an effort to further explain whatever it was that he was sending me.  Being a pack-rat, I saved everything.  Of course, I'm especially glad now that I did!

I'll bet he sent some of these to other fans who might be reading this.  If you are a pack-rat like me, maybe you saved these and can send me some scans to include here.

This first one was attached to some autographed photos he was sending along to me.  When I ran the fan club for The Remingtons, we included an autographed photo for new members.  In this particular batch, he knew the signatures were not so great and said they'd sign more from the road.

This note was attached to a cassette he sent.  (I will try to scan the cassette itself at a later date.)  It was the first five cuts from what would ultimately end up being the first Remington's CD.  However, the working name for the band on the cassette he sent me was "Dreamer."  So if you've heard about him being in "Dreamer" before, it was really the precursor name for The Remingtons.
